Skyline Luge Calgary

  • App Development
  • Graphic Design

Skyline Luge Calgary has been my place of employment for the last couple of summers. While working there I have been developing an Android app to help in keeping better records of cart maintenance and daily safety checks. The initial execution of this app was a simple Activity implementation using SQLite to store data. Since then I have been working on upgrading it to more Android Jetpack based.

On top of working on the app, I have done several designs for staff and merchandise apparel. These include and annual staff hoodie and commemorative shirts for Canada's 150th.

Lemon - Substance Tracker

  • App Development
  • Graphic Design

Lemon was a school project done as part of a course to look at the process of software development. With my previous experience in Android development I took on more of a project lead role with this app.

The main focus in developinng this app was Test Driven Development, Version Control, and Continuous Integration. The app idea itself is just a simple substance intake tracker allowing users to keep track of their alcohol and cannabis intake. This was implemented using simple Fragments and Firebase to store the data in the cloud.

I was also the main provider of the logo, color scheme, and UI design.

Foresight is a personal project I have been working on. Foresight is a volleyball stat tracker and analysis app to help coaches make statistically based decisions in key moments. As of right now it is primarily just a prototype designed in Adobe XD.

  • Graphic Design
  • Website Prototype

This was my first major graphic design project. I was originally employed to create the logo but continued with a prototype website as a personal project. It used JQuery to create dynamic transitions between the feature black and white photos to the selected, related, color photos.
